My Greatest Professional Honor (as published on the TonyAwards.com website)

My first Tony nomination is an honor that I will never forget, at a time in my life when my purpose and potential have united. I am so grateful for the honor bestowed by the American Theatre Wing and the League of American Theatres and Producers for my performance as the incomparable, one of a kind, tour de force, Tommy DeVito.

Thank you to my wife, Melissa, my children, Eli, Erika, and our pending arrival for making me a real success. Thanks to my family and friends who have loved me and stuck with me no matter what paths my life took. I look forward to sharing with you more of the people whose company and confidence I have been blessed with that have made this recognition a reality.

Here is a start: Des McAnuff for his scope and specificity of vision; Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice for distilling a masterful play to weave The Four Seasons' iconic music into; Sergio Trujillo and Kelly Devine for moving us with accuracy and individuality; Ron Melrose for his faithful and gifted ear; Michael David and the Dodger Theatricals class-act team for their continued support and encouragement; Tommy DeVito for the shoes to fill, complete with the heart and soul of a king; to Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Bob Crewe, Joe Long and the late Nick Massi for living this story and having the guts to tell it and the patience to wait until the time was right; to my fellow cast mates, Daniel Reichard, Bobby Spencer, John Lloyd Young and company, without whom we could not have made a difference; the greatest crew from box office to fly rail who complete this family; to the Broadway community for welcoming me home; and a hearty congratulations to my colleagues and fellow nominees: Danny Burstein, Jim Dale, Brandon Victor Dixon and Manoel Felciano.

This is indeed my greatest professional honor and a personal triumph. Thank you.

See you at the theatre!

Congratulations Christian. Just seen your Tony win and wow. Were you excited and surprised- it was great that your performance which I've seen 3 times was well acknowledged. Wanted to be one of the first to express my joy on your 1st Tony win- kukos to you and your family- with the impending birth of your next child.

I knew you would win! I would like to congratulate you, and your family and friends, on this prestigious award. After seeing Jersey boys, you deserve a Tony Award because you are a credit to your profession.

Best regards from Maggie Scarborough. UK
