On Monday October 22nd, I had the privilege of performing on the stage of Carnegie Hall once again. This time, the New York Pops Orchestra and I were joined by members of the Young Peoples Chorus of Manhattan in honor of their "Decade of Dreams Gala."
The Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC), the resident choir of both the 92nd Street Y and WNYC New York Public Radio, has distinguished itself as one of the finest youth choruses in the world. YPC, under its founder and artistic director Francisco J. Núñez, has sung on three continents—everywhere from Carnegie Hall and the White House to Smetana Hall in Prague, St. Martin in the Fields in London, and Asa-Minami Ward Cultural Center Hall in Hiroshima. They represented the U.S. at the Seventh World Symposium on Choral Music in Kyoto, performed at the 2006 national conference of Chorus America in Washington, D.C., and recently sang for Laura Bush as part of The White House Conference on Global Literacy.

Thank you to Francisco Nunez, Sophia Miller of YPC for allowing me to support their commitment to bringing music to the forefront of our lives through these talented young people.
Thanks to Suzan Kremer and Melissa Hoff for bringing me to YPC.
Special thanks to my friend, music director, arranger and guest conductor of the New York Pops Orchestra: Charles Czarnecki whose brilliant arrangement of Sammy Cahn and James Van Heusen's High Hopes set the tone for a glorious evening at Carnegie Hall.

Now why am I not surprised that you would want to spend your free time with the youth choir! I bet you had a fabulous time. And they couldn't ask for a better role model. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Your Awesome!

God Bless You!
